Savva Mamontov

Rowed 3k = 30K
Time 13.21
Total = 120K

Had a bit of a problem with Maggie today so I nipped down the gym to use their modified Concept 2 rail rowers. Took a while to ship it out to the former USSR and it was much tougher going thus the slower time today. Anyway managed to get some photgraphs developed. This one is of me infront of the Monument to Savva Mamontov, which is in Sergiev Posad, station square 70KM from Moscow station.

The Russian Cultural Navigator
"Contemporaries called Savva Mamontov "Savva the Magnificent" likening him to Duke Lorenzo de' Medici who was known as Lorenzo the Magnificent. But Savva Mamontov was more than a patron of arts and letters, he was a businessman as well, and his contribution to both the national economy and the arts was equally great."
