Me and Holly saw Luke last weekend during our road trip of England. He is keen to come to BP in the summer too, but when is still the big question.
Late Aug seems good for me though. I wonder if Nick D's summer school will be over then?
We'd better also make sure that Neil doesn't decide to go to the UK while we're in Hungary. That would be annoying.

What are you going to do a master's in, Nick?

Animation.

It's all very hypothetical at the moment. It depends on a large sum of money turning up in the next year, among other things. Obviously, I want Csilla to come with me, and wherever we end up, she has to be able to find work too...

MA, or not, we will probably return to the UK at this time. I just thought I might try and make it that little bit extra difficult for myself.

Hello people!
I no longer have an excuse for an extended absence (apart from holiday) - as I know have broadband installed at home and can now browse to my heart's content - providing another damn Steve ain't using the computer! Imagine, not only living in my house, but having the nerve to use his own computer to do WORK during the day, when i might want to titlle tattle with my friends...
PS I also now have a home phone 707 7459 - those of that know should be able to work out the code, I think.

I am keen on a trip to Bp. but I can't make the end of August/beg of September - pretty much the only time of the year that I can't. Family business to attend to... Come to think of it around the 20th of July there's more family business - my folks are demanding the presence of all family members and close friends to celebrate 40 years of being hitched.

I did tell Steve and Holly i couldn't make the end of August/beg of Sept. but obviously they didn't remember - they couldn't even remember to take their child's colic medicine when they left my gaff: what sort of parents are they? They surely don't deserve such a delightful baby! Jools is lovely and some day, Steve and Holly might prove themselves worthy... I've tried smoking, drinking and feeding the plants with the colic and gripe drug cocktail, but I'm afraid it only seems good for babies [V]

How many mistakes can you find in my last post - I found 2 in the first paragraph in about 10 seconds. Now wonder I can't find a job!

Oh yes, and while I remember - has anyone else had problems getting onto the forum?
About four or five times I got the message:
Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0113'

Script timed out

/forum/default.asp

I've had it before, but with this super-duper 1 Meg connection, I didn't expect to get timed out. Had no probs with the rest of the site though.

Hope all of you are well, and I'd like to invite you to a barbie at my place, sometime this summer - just have to find a weekend, when I can guarantee some sun. Hmmm...

I feel like a real forum hog, but you have to answer... it'd be rude not to.

Anyway, it looks like end of Aug early Sept is the only time that's good for me now, as Dad's talking of coming at the beginning of August, and thanks to the other support guy buggering off to Canada for a couple of weeks, I'll be on nights for the middle chunk of August.

Of course, you can come while my Dad's here. He likes a jar. But you'd have to find alternative accomadation.

Did you know Neil was buying a place near Blaha?

gto a few publishing lines on the go... might put together a few book proposals to flog to publishers, and applied for a few jobs but nothing terribly interesting. I think I'll do better signing on and working out the odd book deal.

Had a busy day today, mowing the lawn and trimming the hedge!!

Hope a few of you can make it to Bp for the end of August.
Tat ta ta for now, Lukey xx

Hello folks,

Glad people are writing in here again. There was a bit of a quiet spell there...

Luke, sorry I forgot what you said about not being able to do August. Bit of short term memory loss, no doubt. How's everyone else?

It looks though the end of Aug is all us three will be able to manage. There's a bit of a break between courses then. Also, it looks like we might be moving house at the beginning of August, provided we're able to sell the one we're in. When's Neil moving?

Hello folks - ain't the weather grand?!
How was switzerland Marv?
Neil moving... Steve moving... What about you, Marv and Mrs.T?
Or Nick - found out any more about courses in the UK?

I'm not moving - at least not for now - still no job, but got a guy in California who sounds very keen (Peach Pit Press/New Riders), but no firm commitments made... Can't tell how serious he is about giving me work (based at home), he's always very nice and complimentary - no way of knowing if it'll become summink concrete...
Writing a Photoshop article for DMXZone, and if they like the first one, will commission half a dozen or so more - so that'll get my head into working mode again! Just about managing to turn off the PS2 and turn off the telly to get something more constructive done - at least some days...

Saw Jo 'mine's-a-juhturos-gomba-please' Coley last weekend. Had a lovely time catching up - it'd been quite a while - she liked your Merleg article Nick, and says 'Hi' to all. She's well, liking Durham I think (got a nice house up there) and got a decent bloke :-)

Better go hang out the washing. byee
